My dear Laurie,
How you will be missed! I will always remember the first time I drove to a BWCBR meeting at Mizner Park, in 1999, and I wondered how I would fare at 60 years old. It was the best thing I ever did in my move to Florida. I was always welcomed back to the Club after I returned from long spells helping my daughter during her pregnancy. The warmth was so genuine. Now, loving wishes to you, Laurie, in your move to New Jersey. I have so much enjoyed your company , your fabulous dress sense and ladylike manners. That may sound old fashioned, but it has meant a lot to me and many Club members. You always set a standard to be admired.

I was truly saddened to learn of your relocation to New Jersey; selfishly I will miss your visits to our meetings, they always take a special turn when you are in attendance. Since my membership began in May 2003, you have always lead with passion, integrity and sincerity. Laurie, you have been a beacon of light for many Brits over the years; members current and prior, and sadly those who have left this earth. You have provided abiding leadership, that as current President I aspire to replicate; Laurie, my friend you are a tough act to follow indeed.
