  1. Dear Laurie,
From time to time, I have to pinch myself to realize what a blessing the Club has been in my life. How blessed I feel to have made such dear friends. And it’s all because of you! Thank you for creating such a positive force in my life. Your inspiration, grace and dedication will always be treasured.
    Love,
    Margaret D

  2. For the kind words, the wishes, the caring….I am truly humbled….I have known so many of you for a long time. Enjoyed the many occasions that have brought us together. Saddened when sickness has interrupted our lives. There as friends to console and support. I have so many memories to store and treasure. …The friendships you have formed or will in the future will enrich your lives as they have mine………Always love………Laurie

  3. Dear Laurie,
You are such an inspiration to us all. Since I became a member several year ago The British Womens’s Club had played a very important role in my life and I have made some wonderful friends. What would I do without it.?! I have so enjoyed knowing you and I wish you every happiness as you leave us. You will be truly missed.
    Love,
    Jennifer

  6. My dear Laurie,
How you will be missed! I will always remember the first time I drove to a BWCBR meeting at Mizner Park, in 1999, and I wondered how I would fare at 60 years old. It was the best thing I ever did in my move to Florida. I was always welcomed back to the Club after I returned from long spells helping my daughter during her pregnancy. The warmth was so genuine. Now, loving wishes to you, Laurie, in your move to New Jersey. I have so much enjoyed your company , your fabulous dress sense and ladylike manners. That may sound old fashioned, but it has meant a lot to me and many Club members. You always set a standard to be admired.
Much love and very best wishes. Judy xxx

  9. Dear Laurie,
Being part of the British Women’s Club , watching it grow and become more diverse, has been a pleasure for me for so many years, and it’s all thanks to you and the small group of early members, of which there are still some stalwarts left. We will miss you – you have always been an inspiration and guiding light. God bless.

    Love from Kathy Fryer

  16. Dear Laurie,
It was only last month I had the pleasure of sitting next to you at Lunch n’ Such. What a wonderful luncheon companion you are, our lunch zoomed by so quickly. Now, how super to be with your family, and sad for us, as we will miss your laughter, quick wit, caring voice and above all your elegant self.
    With hugs and love, Monica

  17. My dearest Laurie,
I was truly saddened to learn of your relocation to New Jersey; selfishly I will miss your visits to our meetings, they always take a special turn when you are in attendance. Since my membership began in May 2003, you have always lead with passion, integrity and sincerity. Laurie, you have been a beacon of light for many Brits over the years; members current and prior, and sadly those who have left this earth. You have provided abiding leadership, that as current President I aspire to replicate; Laurie, my friend you are a tough act to follow indeed. I for one will miss hearing your full and contagious laugh!

On behalf of all of our BWCBR members I wish you the very best of luck. I know your family will be so very grateful to have you close by in New Jersey.

    My fondest best to you,
    Linda D (President 2018-2019)

  18. Dear Laurie,
21 years ago when I answered your advertisement, I had no idea that BWCBR would be as successful as it has become. Your inspiration made it happen. Do they have a British Women’s Club in New Jersey??? I will miss you very much and wish you all the best for the future.
    Love Maggie
